Drug Cards must include:
Drug Class
Prototype and other drugs in the class with generic and trade names
Expected pharmacological action and MOA
Side effects
Adverse effects
Interventions
Usual route of administration
Patient teaching
Contraindications and precautions
Interactions
Drug cards will be completed for the bolded, common drugs on the list. They will also be part of overall clinical assignments. They will be graded by clinical faculty, and are to be HAND-WRITTEN. Work will be graded based on how complete it is, and how legible it is. Scanned copies must be readable.
Submit the drug cards in the same order as they are listed on ” Medications in Maternal-Newborn & Women’s Health Nursing”, which is attached. Only bolded medications are required
