Taylor and Horgan propose a “process” model of involvement in terrorism. They discuss the role of opportunities, ideology, rational calculations (i.e. “risk” and “benefit” calculations), social background, organizational context, “setting events”, and other contextual and individual factors. In your opinion, what are the two most important elements in the involvement process? Please explain your answer.
