This project involves the design of a system to crush a car to one of three formats. Tasks will be segmented using the project style of structure. The project will be from scratch to the layout, specifically including design generation, evaluation, selection, and embodiment design. The simple and detailed layouts will be made available. Ease of use and loading will be considered in design. A morphological chart will be created to display the variations possible based on generated ideas. Based on selected specifications, a design will be selected. Power requirements of the system and the efficiency are to be estimated or determined through calculations. Hydraulic power will generally be avoided for the final product as requested, though concepts may include it. A basic 3D model of the embodiment design and multiple sketches of initial generated designs will be included.
