INV 200 – Innovation and entrepreneurship

CLOs:
1. Identify and apply the fundamental theories of innovation and entrepreneurship
2. Examine the different debates on innovation and entrepreneurship in multiple
sectors regionally and internationally.
3. Develop the soft skills needed to pursue innovative entrepreneurial endeavors
through immersion in an experiential learning
environment
4. Apply innovative and entrepreneurial ideas to make positive change in the
community
INSTRUCTIONS TO STUDENTS:
Students are invited to identify a potential business idea that brings some level of
innovativeness and test the possibility of its commercialization on the market. You are not
restricted to where the business idea should be implemented (country, sector, industry)
Description of the student task:
Students are invited to prepare their essays to address the following issues:
– Elaboration of new business idea
– Elaboration what is the newness of the business idea
– Assessment of macro-environment by assessing different databases such as the Global
Innovation Index, Global Entrepreneurship Monitor, Doing Business Report
– Creation of the questionnaire for testing the commercialization of the business idea
