Your final research paper will be based on the topic of your choice selected in Week 2. You may include the readings assigned in this class to supplement your research.

Final Research Paper:

Write an 8-10-page research paper (excluding the title and reference pages) on the topic of your research topic choice selected in Week 2. By this time, you should have submitted your first 5 pages for grading and feedback. Once you receive feedback, make revisions accordingly and combine with the last five pages of your paper.

1. For this final assignment, you need to select an existing trauma or crisis intervention for a specific international population of your choice. Please note that you cannot use the same population and/or intervention that you studied earlier in this course to avoid any duplications.
   • • Describe the demographic characteristics of the population and the crisis they experienced.
     • When did the crisis happen, how long did it last or is it an ongoing crisis?
     • What type of trauma did or does the population experience in response to the crisis?

2. Next, describe the trauma and crisis intervention that you believe would help this population.

Presentation Information

Using the references provided in this Unit’s Readings page, present your recommendations for trauma-informed public policy and advocacy initiatives to address the adverse impact of economic, political, or environmental threats in diverse international contexts.

This week you read about definitions, indications, prevalence, and consequences of adverse childhood experiences. These micro and macro-level crises can have serious, negative, long-term mental and physical health outcomes.

In your Cavaiola and Colford (2017) text, there are several case studies relevant to adolescent adversity on pp. 100-108, as well as pp. 134-137 to explore.

Choose one of these cases and respond to the following questions in 3-5 pages (not counting the cover and reference page) using the boldfaced words as headings throughout the body of the paper for organization and structure:
