relationship between law enforcement and the advocate
The relationship between law enforcement and the advocates is critical within the investigative setting. Rape reporters receive better treatment by police officers when advocates are involved, and best practice police work includes such collaboration (Rich & Seffrin, 2013). The association of the two shapes the overall communication perspective between victims and the public. This week’s article revealed that professional variables are more present within officers than personal variables. Professional variables are reflected in the officer’s experience in education learned over time in the work setting. Personal variables disregard all professional factors and can sometimes be biased. The professional relationships established in law enforcement are very sensitive, as you do not want to demonstrate unprofessional variables by re-victimizing a victim.
Interactions with authorities are usually incorporated with a high degree of stress due to the many variables that permit surrounding a crime. Sexual assault cases are closely monitored to ensure the proper assistance and investigative methods. Appropriate service entails average training by officers that assists professional variables. This should not be a problem outside of sexual assault investigations because authorities’ game or knowledge and experience over time with the opportunity to advance in the communications area. The balance of professional and personal variables will suit the efficiency of assisting all investigative areas.

Using the case that you have identified; you will write a research paper exploring the impact and importance of creating a safety culture in healthcare organizations.
Your research paper shall:
* Describe the adverse event that you selected as your case study. Include details of the patient outcome and the contributing factors involved in the adverse event.
* Evaluate the impact and importance of creating a patient safety culture in healthcare organizations.
* Create an improvement plan to address the issues that were identified in your adverse event case. Your plan shall include analysis of best practices in safety culture.
-Add an introduction, a conclusion and headings
Your well-written paper should meet the following requirements:
* five to six pages in length, not including the title or reference pages.
* Formatted per APA 7th edition and Saudi Electronic University standards.
* Provide support for your work with in-text citations from a minimum of four scholarly articles. Two of these sources may be from the class readings, textbook, or lectures, but two must be external. The Saudi Digital Library is a good place to find these references.
* Provide full APA references for the sources used on a reference page, along with appropriate in-text citations.
* Utilize headings to organize the content in your work.
You are strongly encouraged to submit all assignments to the Turnitin Originality Check prior to submitting them to your instructor for grading. If you are unsure how to submit an assignment to the Originality Check tool, review the Turnitin Originality Check Student Guide
case study
: Using the following scenario, complete the case study.
During Spring Break, Angela, Bridgette, and Laura went to a small Mexican town near the Gulf of Mexico. On Friday night, the girls went to a restaurant. Angela and Bridgette shared a pizza with ground beef, refried beans, cheese, and some vegetable toppings. Laura ate a large portion of chicken fajitas. After dinner, Laura brought her leftover chicken fajitas back to the hotel and stored them in the room’s refrigerator. Saturday morning, the girls ate bagels and fresh fruit. For lunch, the girls stopped at a deli. Angela had a spinach salad with fresh strawberries, blueberries, and poppy seed dressing. Bridgette had a shrimp salad sandwich on a toasted multigrain roll. Laura had a bowl of seafood gumbo soup. The young women were having so much fun that evening, they didn’t have time for a sit-down dinner, so they each ate a hot dog from a street vendor. When they returned to the hotel later that evening, they were a little bit hungry, so they shared Laura’s chicken fajita leftovers after reheating them in a microwave. Between 3:00 and 5:00 a.m. on Sunday morning, Angela and Bridgette each woke up feeling nauseous and bloated. They spent most of Sunday sick with vomiting and diarrhea. Angela also had a very bad headache and chills. Laura felt fine, but she was stuck in the hotel room taking care of her sick friends all day.
Step 2: In a 1-2 page paper, discuss the following:
- Determine what food(s) you think could have potentially been the source of Angela and Bridgette’s food-borne illness. Explain your reasoning.
- Identify potential sources of food-borne illness for each of the meals the girls ate over the weekend.
- Based on their symptoms, a suspected food source(s), and the time of onset, analyze which microorganism(s) were most likely to have been responsible for their illness. Use references to support your claims.
- Discuss any precautions that Bridgette and Angela could have done differently to prevent developing a food-borne illness. Explain your answer.
Assignment Expectations for Grading:
1. Demonstration of critical thinking, scholarship, and ability to connect and apply the material
2. Comprehensiveness and completeness of your responses
3. Adherence to the written instructions
4. Spelling and grammar
5. Provide 3-5 APA Style References to support your paper.
ESSAY: COMPARING TWO INDEPENDENT GROUPS ASSIGNMENT PROMPTS
- There are several assumptions for the use of an independent samples t test. State each of these and the implications should these assumptions be violated. Is it possible for a p value to equal 0? Why or why not?
- There are several indices on effect sizes for independent samples t tests. Describe three of these and when one might be used over the others. Next, given a situation in which a research reports a large eta squared effect size (eta squared = .64), why might their reported t value be small and not statistically significant? What may be inference from such a situation? Indicate and provide examples of three of the factors that influence the size of t.
Assignment: Sociologist Player Trading Cards
Assignment: Sociologist Player Trading Cards
STEP 1: Select one of the sociological theorists discussed in this module. Search for relevant online biographical information about the sociologist, their family life, and/or their contributions to sociology that are not included in the module. Find a minimum of five facts that are interesting, fun, or outrageous (but true) about the sociologist you selected. What would interest people about this person? From mental illness to drunken brawls to living in abject poverty, early sociologists lived pretty colorful lives! Make sure you are using a minimum of 3 credible sources.
STEP 2: Find an open source image of the sociologist by using Google (or another search engine). Using Google search, you can click “Images” and then under “Tools” select “Usage Rights.” Then select “Labeled for Reuse with Modification,” and don’t forget to include the APA image citation.
STEP 3: Compose a digital baseball card of sorts with a photo, and no fewer than five unique facts (separate from what is already in the module). Include correct APA citations. This can be done as a PowerPoint slide, in a Word document, or using a program of your choice, such as Easelly, Canva or Piktochart.
STEP 4: Include a one-liner with the player’s (sociologist’s) stats, which in this case is their major contribution/s to sociology.
Statistics Question
1. Return to the US News dataset on Tier I National Universities.
2. Perform a t test the difference in mean PeerRating, HSGCRating, GradRate and AlumSalary
between public and private schools using a .05 level of significance.
I recommend you copy the values for the groups into two columns on a separate worksheet.
You can use the T.TEST function in Excel (see Quickquide 32 in the Salkind book). With this
function, you identify the two arrays, specify the #tails, and the type (use type=2 for the
independent sample t with equal variances assumed. This function yields the p-value under
the null hypothesis.
Or you can use the two-sample t-test with equal variances in the data toolkit. The provides all
the associated statistics. With this, set the hypothesized difference to 0.
